How does it work?
FAQ for the Saints Letter Club
When will the first letter arrive?
The letters are sent via first-class mail once a month. For U.S. mail, your letter should arrive a few days after being sent. For letters sent to addresses outside of the U.S., the mail will take a little bit longer. If you have not received your letter by the end of the month, please contact me, and I will send out another letter.
Do you deliver internationally?
Yes. Letters are sent worldwide wherever mail is delivered. (Measurements in recipes are provided in both English and metric units.) Note, the price for the letters are in U.S. dollars. If you live outside the United States, the amount charged to your credit card in your currency will be based on your credit card's exchange rate policy.
When is the best time to join?
You can join at any time. The letters are sent out once a month. If you join after the letters for the month have been sent, your first letter will be sent out within 3 business days after you place your order.
What can I expect in each letter?
Each month's letter will be about a new saint, written from the saint's point-of-view. The letters are written to entertain while including information about the saint, a story, and little bits of information about geography, history, and the faith. These are fictional letters based on historical facts.
The letters will also include monthly activities which might be puzzles, crafts, or games. And there is a saint-inspired recipe to make and enjoy.
Previous months' saints have included St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, St. Claude La Colombière, St. Clare of Assisi, and St. John of the Cross. Some of these saints letters are available to be ordered on the Previous Letters page.
What age group are the letters designed for?
All ages! Adults and children enjoy entertaining stories and learning about the saints. The monthly activities are designed for children ages 6 to 9. The recipes often require the use of the stove or the oven and are expected to be done with adult supervision.
Do the recipes accommodate any dietary restrictions?
Yes. Our family has eaten gluten-free for a number of years. The recipes are gluten-free or allow for a substitution using an all purpose gluten-free flour. If your gluten-free flour does not contain xanthan gum, in most cases, you will need to add that. The recipes might contain nuts and dairy. However, in some recipes the dairy can be substituted.
How do payments work?
When you subscribe, you provide a credit card number which is charged for your first monthly payment. After that, once a month, your credit card will be charged the monthly subscription fee and you will be sent a receipt via email.
Can I cancel at anytime?
Yes. You can can cancel your subscription at any time. You can also pause your subscription for any amount of time. Simply send an email to make any changes to your subscription and the change will be taken care of right away.
Is every letter handwritten?
Each letter is a copy of the original letter which was illustrated by hand. The envelope is addressed with a vintage typewriter font and sent with a real postage stamp.
Can I order previous months' letters?
May I photocopy the activity pages?
Yes. Please photocopy the activity pages to make it easier to do the activities or to allow more children in your family or classroom to do the activities.
Do you support any charities?
